International Student Mobility Grants Call for Applications, Academic Year 2026/2027

How to apply

To participate in the call for applications, you must complete the Application Form, which will be available on this page, by the following deadlines:

  • Fall session by 15/07/2026 (application form available online starting from 15/06/2026);
  • Spring session by 15/12/2026 (application form available online starting from 15/11/2026),

and upload the following documents:

  • Letter or e-mail of acceptance from the partner institution;
  • For students enrolled on Italian campuses: have at least a weighted average of 28/30;
  • For students enrolled on Spanish campuses: have at least a weighted average of 7.99/10;
  • For students enrolled on Brazilian campuses: have at least a weighted average of 8/10
  • Academic grades certificate (Italy), certificacion academica oficial (Spain), histórico escolar / academic records (Brazil)
Requirements

The call for applications is reserved for students regularly enrolled for the academic year 2026/2027 at IED campuses and at the Accademia di Belle Arti Aldo Galli.

To participate in this call for applications, the students must:

• Be in good administrative and academic standing and passing examinations within the standard session of February 2026 (Spanish and Italian Campuses) or March 2026 (Brazilian Campuses);

• For students enrolled on Italian campuses: have a weighted average of no less than 28/30;

• For students enrolled on Spanish campuses: have a weighted average of no less than 7.99/10;

• For students enrolled on Brazilian campuses: have a weighted average of no less than 8/10.

Goals

The Francesco Morelli Foundation, as part of its activities to bring students closer to the study and professions of design, is issuing grants worth a total of €50,000 (fifty thousand euros) to support studying abroad as part of international mobility programmes. This initiative is part of the activities undertaken by the Francesco Morelli Foundation to break socio-economic barriers among students and support greater inclusiveness.

How we select eligible students

The ranking drawn up when the applications are submitted will be according to the following criteria:

  • Academic merit;
  • Motivational interview assessed by a 3-member panel composed of 1 or 2 representatives from the Francesco Morelli Foundation and 1 or 2 representatives from IED.
Ranking

The application request outcome will be notified by 27/07/2026 (Fall session) and by 18/01/2027 (Spring session) to the student via the email address listed in the form while the rankings will be published on the Foundation's website.
